On se fout que le texte soit d’Aragon, c’est Georges qui lui a donné vie en le sortant d’un recueil poussièreux! et son interprétation fait merveille. C’est le principal!
N’oublions quand meme pas qu’il s’agit d’un texte d’Aragon a la base, sublimé par cette voix, que du bonheur
The lyrics are not by Brassens but by French poet Louis Aragon. Nevertheless, Brassens’ interpretation is great.

Merci mille fois for posting this video! I’ve always loved this song mainly from Francoise Hardy’s version but never had an opportunity to listen to the rendition by the great great Brassens himself. This is wonderful! Now I understand why this is not only one of the saddest songs in the world but also the most passionate ones.
